These two new adobe homes were designed and built by architect Hernan Pimentel of Patzcuaro, Michoacan. Hernans unique blend of regional architecture, contemporary lines and colonial details come together in fabulous view homes nestled quietly on the hillside, overlooking Lake Patzcuaro. 15 minute walk to the market. Less than ½ mile to the new Soriana market.
The colonial architecture and construction is traditional adobe which provides thermal insulating quality. There are traditional ceilings of wooden beams vigas and woven wood tajamanil throughout both #94 and #96. The kitchens and bathrooms have custom wood counters and handmade cooper sinks. The floors are traditional baldosa with wooden steps on the staircase.
